A Mixed Yet Grateful Experience Our newborn nephew was recently admitted to G.B. Pant Children Hospital with a case of wet lungs. Alhamdulillah, he is now recovering well, and we are truly grateful for the medical care he received during this critical time. One of the most commendable aspects of the hospital is its team of professional and compassionate doctors. From consultants, senior residents to junior residents and nursing staff, everyone demonstrated not only medical expertise but also a human touch that meant a lot to us as an emotionally overwhelmed family. Their clear communication, consistent monitoring, and kind demeanor helped ease our anxieties during a very stressful period. We were also positively surprised by the hospital's administration. The cleanliness of bathrooms and corridors, even during peak hours, was maintained well. Crowd control and patient movement were managed in an organized manner, which made navigating the hospital a lot easier than expected. However, we would like to bring one important issue to the notice of the administration: While most of the staff was courteous and professional, we observed some instances where nursing staff and security guards indirectly hinted at monetary favors. This often came in the form of emotional manipulation, taking advantage of already exhausted and emotionally vulnerable parents and family members. Such practices, though possibly limited to a few individuals, can cast a shadow on an otherwise excellent institution. We hope the administration looks into this seriously and ensures strict ethical conduct from all staff. Overall, we are deeply thankful to G.B. Pant Children Hospital for the care and recovery of our little one. May Allah bless the medical staff and give strength to every family going through similar trials. – A Grateful Family Member
